Attendees learnt about: an overview of Instagram, trends & insights, research, how to find hashtags and gain exposure, identify desired outcomes for using Instagram, and draft a story board to attract new followers.

Effective Business Record Keeping

26th February 2020

Delivered by Business Gateway, participants learned about: control and monitor the finances, and identify which financial statements and statutory returns are relevant to their business.

Successful Marketing and Promotion

25th February 2020

The first session delivered by Business Gateway coordinated a number of activities, including: explaining the difference between features and benefits, identify products and services that meet the customer's need, and to identify the appropriate features and benefits to achieve sales.

 

First Aid

Delivered by a local trainer, the Hub organised First Aid training as per community demand. These sessions were vastly popular with local residents and organisations- whereby attendees learned various techniques to provide vital support in an emergency.

It's About Time We Met

An email was sent out to Tain Enterprise Community Hub members with an invitation to meet the team and to share their views about the community. Members were asked three main questions: what do they want from their membership, what improvements would they like to see, and how they could help Tain & District Development Trust grow.

 

Photography

Local photography Mark Janes launched a new beginners running over 5 Wednesday evenings from 7.30 - 9.30, starting February 26th [*unfortunately due to COVID-19- use of the Hub was unavailable]

Improve Your Photography

Course covers; an overall introduction to digital photography covering camera-handling, exposure modes, lenses and focusing, plus artistic techniques such as composition, use of light, etc.
