Community Development

There are some fantastic examples out there of what can be achieved within a community when individuals, groups and businesses work together.

The Easter Ross Peninsula is no exception to this and as your community facilitator, we are making it our mission to empower, connect and involve local people in the creation of new opportunities that will lead us to long-lasting and meaningful change within our area.

Community Markets & Feastivals

This initiative was designed to: raise awareness of our area, bring our community together, and promote local businesses.

As an organisation, we are committed to local development and providing opportunities for vendors to promote their products.

As a result, our community is provided with locally sourced goods. Bringing investment into our area is crucial for sustainability, and our outdoor events create a positive impact on our community

Easter Ross Peninsula Pathways Project

We are seeking to promote sustainable tourism throughout the Easter Ross Peninsula as a means of encouraging socio-economic growth and environmental improvements.

We have commissioned a feasibility study and implementation plan for the creation of a network of paths and routes across the Peninsula for walkers, cyclists and people with disabilities.

The Path Network Project aims to assess the feasibility of upgrading existing paths, where necessary creating new paths, and providing greater access for visitors and local people across the Easter Ross Peninsula.

Funding received from Highland Council's Community Regeneration Fund.
