Community Development

There are some fantastic examples out there of what can be achieved within a community when individuals, groups and businesses work together.

Our District is no exception to this and as your community facilitator, we are making it our mission to empower, connect and involve local people in the creation of new opportunities that will lead us to long-lasting and meaningful change within the Easter Ross Peninsula (Ward 7 Highland Council)

Community Markets & Feastivals

This initiative was designed to: raise awareness of our area, bring our community together, and promote local businesses.

As an organisation, we are committed to local development and providing opportunities for vendors to promote their products.

As a result, our community is provided with locally sourced goods. Bringing investment into our area is crucial for sustainability, and our outdoor events create a positive impact on our community

Community Awards

The Community Awards have been established to recognise the work and passion of volunteers, groups and businesses in the district. The community and the people who live here are at the heart of all we do. Each of the nominees, over ten categories are voted for by the general public. All nominations are reviewed by an independent panel - who have the difficult job of selecting three finalists per category.  The awards are a celebration of the individuals, groups and businesses who are dedicated to their cause, their teams and their community.
