This year sees the Second Tain and District Community Awards.

The Awards will take place in the Duthac Centre, Tain on Friday the 1st November from 6:30pm. We will be celebrating a selection of inspirational members of the Tain and District (Ward 7) Community. The evening will begin with a champagne reception followed by a 2 course meal with wine. We will also have a special guest, live entertainment, silent auction with some other surprises thrown in!

The TDDT contribution to sport award is designed to reward someone who has increased the profile, participation or awareness of any sport in Tain and Easter Ross (Ward 7) The winner could be involved in sport at any level across the area and whether they are a local legend, individual or amateur coach. The winner of this category will have made an impact on sport within their community.

TDDT’s Local Business of the Year will demonstrate a trend setting organisation where their staff will go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service experience. They will have developed a strong local presence and affinity with the local community.

Community Group of the Year

This award recognises and rewards a community group within Tain and Easter Ross (ward 7) area, which has made an exceptional contribution to the district and its residents. The not-for-profit work will have involved local people, whilst promoting equality, inclusion and working together. Small or large, all groups will be considered in relation to their value to the local community.

Do you know a driven young person under 21 in your community? Tain and District has many inspirational young people who do not receive the acknowledgment they deserve. This award aims to reveal, recognise and reward the hard-working young people we have in this area, setting them up as a positive role model for young people to aspire to.
